Developments in the modern Agricultural sector are rapidly changing across the globe. From Indoor Farming, Bio-Tech & Fuels, to Hemp and Marijuana Industry development.
Africa has an opportunity to adopt these new opportunities from the start, directly benefiting from innovations, avoiding reskilling trades, conversion push-back, or expensive conversation or refitting existing infrastructure.
These and other innovations offer Africa a real competitive advantage over legacy industries.
Indoor Farming
Going through a restructure and sustainability focus, the Indoor Farming and Controlled growing industry has matured and now offers real opportunities, especially in the repurpose of building and in high population dense areas.
Diversification
As consumer markets mature, shifting from export-focused crops (e.g., cocoa, coffee) to a broader range of food crops and value-added products for local. Afriponics has links and employment history with major retailers in South Africa, including Checkers & PicknPay.
