Program focus
Must be available to the most vulnerable in society, help people to work for themselves, restore dignity and give hope.
Expose opportunities; People can't choose something, if they don't know about it.
Provide Just-In-Time training, usable knowledge from Day 1. Its about results, not just a certificate.
Support, encourage and mentor.
Post-training support for 6 months plus access to off-take agreements, sales channels and business development routes.
With this in place, together with a number of collaborative partnerships over the years, we've been able to train over 2000 people and numerous previously unemployed people are now running their own businesses.
And while we know many who came through the program did not pursue a career in Agriculture, many did start their own businesses in other fields, while others left the program to take up jobs.
Just turning up, talking and attending classes opens up possibilities.
